This handy little countdown timer allows everyone to see how much time is remaining, down to the last second. It is great for gameshows and timed competitions. Once the timer goes down to zero, it stops. It can be reset to start again, paused, as well as continue where it had been left off.
The owner of the timer is able to setup an access list to determine who may operate the min countdown timer. This can be assigned by the group, individual names, or public so that anyone can operate it. The following options are available.
Set Time:
Set the time to start the timer. If the counter is in the middle of counting down, then it will stop. The timer is initially setup with five minutes and zero seconds.
A message will be displayed asking the person to say the time out loud in the following format (mm:ss). A timer for 8 minutes and 15 seconds would be setup by saying "8:15". Although you may set times well beyond 99 minutes and 59 seconds, it is recommended to specify values less then 100 minutes to prevent confusion.
Start:
Starts counting down each second. If the mini countdown timer had recently been stopped during the count-down, it will continue where it had left off. This is similar to how a stopwatch works.
Stop:
Stops counting down. The mini countdown timer continues to display the amount of time remaining before it was stopped.
Reset:
This feature will stop the timer from counting down. The time is reset to the original time that had been setup with the mini countdown timer using the "Set Time" button. If you had previously set the timer to 8 minutes and 15 seconds, the reset feature will stop the count down and display 08:15 on it's display.
Loop:
This feature will enable the timer to restart itself once it reaches zero. Great for games where you need to keep the pace going for each contestant.
You may customize the look of the mini countdown timers colors and size to fit within your environments theme.
Background Information:
This mini countdown timer was created for Catastrophe Supermarine. She had found me through my You-Tube video as I was demonstrating the big wheel from The Price is Right. Catastrophe is interested in games in second life and needed a product that would count down from three minutes to zero. The countdown timer supported this feature, but other feature requests called for a slimmed down version of it with game shows as the primary focus.
I was later contacted by Dan SpiritWeaver who needed the timer to reset itself and start counting down again to keep a Karaoke contest moving along. This introduced the ability to loop the count down once it reaches zero.
History: 1.4 - compiled scripts as Mono - New Textures with less outline close-up - Made separate copyable timer 1.3 - added ability to restart the timer once it reaches zero 1.2 - Initial Public Offering 1.1 - Working with Images 1.0 - Beta

This item is great for actors in machinima, models in photography, and people who just want to express that extra bit of emotion at social events. The heads up display (HUD) has a image to show you what the facial expression looks like. Simply touch the picture to turn it on and off. The HUD status panel will display which expression is currently in effect. You have 20 different expressions to choose from. The auto smile feature allows your avatar to smile randomly.
* Auto Smile allows a random smiling expression to play every 15 seconds. o Kiss o Laugh o Smile o Tongue Out o Tooth Smile o Wink * Pictures show you what each expression looks like * Paged images let you look at five expressions at a time. * Toggle an expression to be constantly on/off * Text indicates what expression is currently in use. * Attach multiple HUD's to combine expressions for new looks.

Known Issues
If you are not wearing the HUD, you will be asked permissions to animate your avatar before it will work.
Background History
I primarily used this for photographs and snapshots that I take within Second Life. I am included in the product presentation of items that I sell in order to show scale of the product compared to avatars. There are other facial animated HUDs available in the virtual world of second life. However, they do not appear to be easy to use. Some are operated through text chat. Others don't let you change the settings at all. Some do not give any hints at how they work.
With the emotional HUD cube, everything is laid out to be easy to use. You can toggle which animation you want to use by clicking to toggle it on/off. A request from a friend of mine was to let the HUD make your avatar smile for you. It randomly chooses an expression for smiling.
In the past, I have had some inventory losses of scripts. The emotional HUD was one of the most recent to lose a script in its inventory. The script existed, and would continue to run. However, the source code was unavailable giving me message "Script is missing from database". I have had this problem with so many other items. The emotional HUD was the last straw and I withdrew from the virtual world completely for some time afterwards.
On thanksgiving week of 2007, I started packaging a lot of my inventory that I had created over the years and came across the emotional HUD cube. I set out to rebuild the script from scratch to perform the same functionality that it once had.

Tired of watching your avatar type away on an invisible keyboard as you try to have a conversation with others in SL?
Try this! Not only does it animate your avatar's body as if it's having a chat, but it animates your lips as you type away too!
It also allows you to add your own animations and easily switch to it in just a few easy clicks!
P.S. I've removed all my freebies from xstreetsl.com as i thought i could share a few toys i've made for the public, with the public. However, LindenLab's freebie killing roadmap no longer allows me to do so as freely as before.
